Greetings from Ethiopia - Niamh.

Hello Hello Hello. We are in Ethiopia at last and what a wonderful country. We love it so much. The weather is fabulous. The coffee is amazing. The scenery is stunning. We've travelled to the Simien Mountain National Park and taken ponies to the Summit of Imet Gogo. We've travelled to the town of Lalibela where over a dozen churches were cut out of solid rock. We've headed North to Axum, the center of an ancient civilization. We've taken tiny papyrus boats out onto Lake Tana and visited ancienct churches. And we've travelled through the Blue Nile Gorge on our way to Addis Ababa. Now that we're in the capital we are choosing between visiting the walled city of Harar where the hyenas are fed at dusk and travelling South to visit the tribes of the Lower Omo Valley.

The food here is poor enough. They eat a dish called injera which is really quite disgusting. But the juices are amazing and the coffee is to die for. The music is fun. Everyone speaks English. It's a really great place. It's so hard to believe that it is one of the poorest countries on Earth.

Please stay in touch, we would love to hear from you all at home.
