Sponsorship Packages

Sponsored Map Poster

We will produce a sponsored map poster showing our intended route from Cork through Europe and Africa as far as South Africa. It will be a large full colour poster, designed by Zebedee Marketing.

How To Get Involved

Our target audience is schools and the public in the Imokilly area. We will publish two separate maps: one for the Youghal area and one for the Midleton area. There are two tiers of sponsorship available. Large logos will appear at the top and bottom of the poster and smaller logos will appear on each side.

Large Logo - €500 for one area €800 for both areas
Small Logo – €150 for one area €250 for both areas

What’s On The Map Poster?

        - Map of Africa, showing our Intended Route
        - Photos of Africa, Wildlife, People, Scenery and Irish Projects
        - Short text boxes highlighting interesting facts about each country
        - Sponsored Logos forming a border

Where It Will Be Shown

Primary Schools – In Participating Classrooms (5th and 6th) and the School Hall
Secondary Schools – in Participating Classrooms and on the School Notice Board
Public Spaces – Community Notice Boards, Community Halls, Libraries, Post Offices, In Shops and Businesses involved with the project

How It Will Be Used

We will place the Sponsored Map Poster in public areas and give it to collaborating organizations and businesses to show in their open areas.
- In schools: students will access the Internet or read printed articles in class and will make regular reference to the poster to visualize our location and progress.
- In public spaces: members of the public will be able to read articles in the local press and make a similar reference to the posters. In some places, posters will have our current printed articles attached.

All sponsors will be listed, free of charge, on our website www.AllAboutAfrica.net

Sponsored Calendar

In December 2005, we will publish a professional, high quality, full colour calendar featuring photos from our journey. The photos will be carefully selected to tell our story of contemporary Africa and will be accompanied by a short narrative.

How To Get Involved

We are looking for twelve calendar sponsors and will associate one sponsor with each month. All twelve logos will be visible on every page, with the appropriate monthly sponsor featuring most prominently. The back pages of the calendar will also feature all twelve sponsors and will include thumbnail photos as well as extracts from our articles.

The cost of sponsoring a single month in the Calendar is €1,200.

The Benefits Of Involvement

Your company will be seen to be supporting a highly visible, local education project
Your business will be directly associated with a positive aspect of change in Africa
Your company will be automatically allocated space on the Sponsored Map Poster
You will enjoy the prestige of presenting your very own calendar to customers and business clients

Demand for the calendar will be estimated in the coming months. It will be distributed to the general public either free of charge or at print cost through local press, schools and co-operating businesses.

All About Africa Exhibition

We will hold a sponsored All About Africa Exhibition in a suitable venue in February 2006. We want to bring the Story of Africa to the People of Cork. The exhibition will be an exploration of African Themes and a celebration of our expedition.

The exhibition will feature:
Photos from the All About Africa journey
       Video from the trip
Samples of African Arts and Crafts collected during our trip
Samples of music and sounds from our journey
Extracts from secondary sources (printed material as well as multimedia content)

The exhibition is to be financed by a single sponsor. Because the sole purpose of the exhibition is to increase public awareness of the All About Africa project, we are seeking exhibition sponsorship to cover its' costs.

If your company is interested in providing sponsorship or in giving a donation, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please contact Malachy on 021 4652429.
